Welcome to the first issue of spielbox in 2025! You can expect exciting content in this issue, such as a new system for board and video games (Teburu), an interview with Klaus Ottmaier from Pegasuspiele and a portrait of Biberstein Spiele.
We were in Nuremberg at the toy fair and have picked out a few games for you for the fair report.

In the second part of our interview, Harald Schrapers and Maren Hoffmann talk about their work on the “Game of the Year” jury: This time, they discuss their collaboration with publishers, the workload of the members, and the jury's finances and expenses. We also take a look at the far north: Iceland has been home to an unusual game café for 18 years, which has also shaped and changed the gaming landscape and culture in Iceland.
