Azul Kids marks the first-ever children’s game in the series—and in an interview with spielbox, designer Michael Kiesling has already announced more Azul games to come. For nearly 20 years, game publishers have been using the Göttingen Game Designers’ Meeting as an opportunity to send members of their editorial teams to a cross-publisher editorial seminar for professional development shortly before the event. And in Vienna, too, people help each other out: spielbox was a guest at a game designers’ get-together featuring prominent figures. Of course, we’ll be reporting on the Game of the Year awards ceremony in Berlin. A total of 21 games are reviewed in the new issue.
